As a representative of 2 Divas Travel selected to participate in US Airways annual scavenger hunt it was an amazing experience. Thirty-nine agents from across the United States were selected to take part in a 2-day activity packed event in one of the most entertaining and popular cities in the world; if you guessed "Sin City LAS VEGAS" you guessed right. All the agents were swept away from the McCarran International airport by limousine and takento the amazingly beautiful Aria hotel. This hotel exceeded my expectations from the welcoming smiles at check-in to the comfortable and spacious room facing the Las Vegas Boulevard. Our adventure started off with a hearty breakfast buffet hosted by the Riviera Hotel & Casino. Everything was delicious and gave us the energy for our first activity which was a Slot Tournament. We departed the Riviera Hotel and headed over to the revitalized Tropicana Hotel for a site inspection. What we didn't know was that our site inspection would lead us into the next challenge. We had to recreate one of the guest rooms we toured and had half an hour to do it. Team Orange came so close but no cigar.
We stopped for lunch at the newest shopping, entertainment, and nightlife district called The LINQ Promenade. Chayo Mexian Kitchen set us up nicely with mid-day cocktails and a delicious lunch. We went back to the Aria to get ready for our cocktail party and hors d'oeuvres at the amazingly beautiful Tao Restaurant located inside the Venetian Hotel & Casino. What I was not aware of was that Tao Restaurant has in addition to its celebrity hotspot of a nightclub is a 60,000 square foot beach area with a massive size pool. After the cocktail party we head over to the theater to enjoy an awesome performance by Human Nature. Human Nature consists of four talented men from Sydney, Australia who have a love for the Motown sound. The show has us dancing out of our seats. It's an amazing show that brings the Motown sounds of Detroit, Michigan to the desert lands of Nevada. The next day we were taken to Downtown Las Vegas to the Four Queens hotel for another hearty breakfast to get us ready for the Scavenger Hunt itself. We were given a list of questions and tasks to be completed in two hours. Team Orange killed the Scavenger Hunt. The hunt ended at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino where a nice lunch of sandwiches and salads were available but we weren't done yet. We had one more challenge to complete; a martini challenge. It was a fun challenge especially the tasting part but Team Red took home the points. We went back to the Aria to change for the evening's cocktail party and awards dinner before heading back home in the AM. We had a great time sipping libations on the Sunset Terrace patio at the Wynn Las Vegas. The team with the most points at the end of the 2-day event took home the grand prize of $15,000 in US Airways travel credit and retail gift cards. Congratulations to Team Red. I have been to Las Vegas five times and each time has been a different but fantastic experience. It's one of my favorite US destinations and I can't wait to go back. There is something for everyone from the shows, casino designs, attractions, dining, photo spots, nightlife, shopping, and of course the gambling.

AuthorI get excited when I talk about the places I have visited and plan to visit. I enjoy conversing with others who have been to places I have never thought to visit. So my question to you is: where would you like to go? Archives
